Call for Applications -- JHI-Mellon Graduate Fellowships in 2018-2019
The JHI-Mellon sponsored research project, Aesthetic Education: A South-North Dialogue, is seeking applications from doctoral students at the University of Toronto for JHI-Mellon Graduate Fellowships in 2018-2019. This is a fellowship opportunity for any Ph.D. students working in certain fields bound together as Aesthetic Education (key terms are museums, puppetry, literature, decolonization, and the cinematic). The fellowship involves participating in the ongoing activities of the Jackman Humanities Institute’s collaboration with the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. Candidates do not have to be working on South Africa or on Africanist topics, though they do have to be interested in travelling to South Africa.
