Norse / Native Contact in Arctic Canada


Patricia Sutherland has conducted archaeological research in the Canadian Arctic since 1975, most recently investigating contacts between European settlers based in Greenland and Arctic natives during the medieval era.  She is currently an Adjunct Professor in Carleton and Memorial Universities, and a Research Fellow in the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
