Six teams of actors will present new site-specific performances based on scholarly presentations
The Jackman Humanities Institute and Volcano Theatre are pleased to present
exploring contemporary theatre creation + scholarship in the humanities
inFORMING CONTENT is a special, two-part presentation. In the first part, five of the fellows of the Jackman Humanities Institute will present short talks about their research on the 2013-2014 annual theme of Translation and the Multiplicity of Languages. During the next 36 hours, teams of actors will transform these ideas into new and original theatrical performances. In the second part, the performances will be presented to the public.

PART TWO: The Performances
Six teams of actors will create short, site-specific theatre pieces to be performed throughout the Jackman Humanities Building. Participants will work with Volcano Theatre's Associate Artist, international award winner Deborah Pearson to create new site-specific performances in just 48 hours. Each team will be working with one of the presentations, and will be assigned to create a performance around a specific constraint. Each performance will be presented multiple times.
