Talk by Frederick C. Beiser (Syracuse University)
The Department of Philosophy presents Continental Group Talk
Hermann Cohen's philosophy is the last great idealist system in the German tradition. The main exposition of that idealism is in his 1902 Logic, which is a work of formidable obscurity. I attempt to remove some of the obscurity surrounding the Logic by explaining the philosophical motivations for it.
