Africa Watch: 'Good' and 'Bad' Spectatorship

Anjali Prabhu is Associate Professor of French at Wellesley College. She is a specialist in Francophone studies and theoretical issues in literature, cinema, culture, and postcolonial studies. Currently, she is preparing Contemporary Cinema of Africa and the Disapora (Blackwell Press). Her first book was titled Hybridity: Limits, Transformations, Prospects (SUNY 2007). Her articles have appeared in journals such as Research in African Literatures, French Forum, Cinema Journal, Studies in Twentieth-Century Literature, International Journal of Francophone Studies, and Diacritics.
