I am an architectural historian with an interest in researching intersections between architectural culture and science, technology and business. My most recent book is "The Interface: IBM and the Transformation of Corporate Design, 1945-1976" (University of Minnesota Press, 2011). I am an editor of "Grey Room," a peer-reviewed journal of art, architecture, media and politics published by MIT Press.
What I'm Working On:
I'm currently writing a book on "Architectures of Mass Media: Telephony, Radio, and Television," and in the research stages of a large project "Corporate Architecture, 17th-20th Centuries."
