Research is increasingly aligned with principles of equity, diversity and inclusion. As part of our new “Hands-on with the JHI” workshop series, we are inviting researchers in the humanities and qualitative social sciences to a pair of interactive workshops to level-up and meaningfully embed EDI principles into your program of research on a practical level. Register for one or both workshops!

Part 1: Wednesday, January 18, 2023 | 10:00am to 11:30am

EDI in Humanities Research Environments (Part 1) will focus on concrete/specific practices and linking those practices to systemic barriers. Andrea Gill (Research Equity & Diversity Strategist) will lead a hands-on workshop focused on developing an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment. Register (UTORid required)

Part 2: Wednesday, February 1, 2023 | 10:00am to 11:30am

EDI in Humanities Research Design (Part 2) will be led by Nicole Kaniki (Director, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in Research & Innovation) and will feature a hands-on workshop focused on developing an equitable, diverse and inclusive program of research design. Register (UTORid required)
