Graduate Fellowships

Chancellor Jackman Graduate Fellowship

Applications are accepted in February and early March for three residential fellowships to be held the following year. Fellows are doctoral students who will be beyond the funded cohort in their fellowship year. Deadline for applications is mid-March.

Amilcare Iannucci Graduate Fellowship

Applications are accepted in April and early May for one residential fellowship to be held the following year. This fellow is a doctoral student in the final year of the funded cohort in the fellowship year. Deadline for applications is mid-May.

For both Chancellor Jackman and Amilcare Iannucci fellowships, two completed chapters are required in the application, and fellows are required not to teach in their fellowship year. The goal of these awards is completion of the dissertation.

Jackman Junior Fellowships

This is a top-up award for new PhD students that is determined at admission by the admitting unit. The award lasts for four years and is non-residential. Jackman Junior Fellows participate in two events each year that are designed to facilitate interdisciplinary interaction within the cohort, and must maintain status as students in good standing throughout their tenure as Junior Fellows. There is no application process for this award.
