JHI-UTSC Digital Humanities Fellowship

The JHI-UTSC Digital Humanities Early Career Faculty Fellowship is an 18-month digital scholarship for UTSC faculty members that is supported by the Jackman Humanities Institute, the UTSC Library, the Dean, UTSC and the Office of the Vice-Principal, Research & Innovation.

Applications are accepted in March and early April for one award to be held for 18 months starting the following July. The recipient is expected to work closely with the Digital Humanities Network and the UTSC Digital Scholarship Unit on a major research project that will reach the capacity to seek large-scale funding at the completion of this award. This selection process is managed in collaboration with the Office of the VP-Research, UTSC. The deadline for applications is mid-April.

All research faculty in the humanities and interpretive social sciences who hold their main budgetary appointment at UTSC are eligible to apply. Applications will be open to all tenure stream research faculty, but preference will be given to those 4-12 years post-PhD (with accommodation for career interruptions).
