Description

You're invited to the opening of JHI's 2025-26 Art Exhibition!

Join us at the JHI on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm for the opening of the exhibition, Proof of Life, including a reception with curator, Master of Visual Studies in Curatorial Studies graduate student Chloe Gordon-Chow. Proof of Life brings together works by Ernesto Cabral de Luna, boring earth, Shannon Garden-Smith, and Jenine Marsh for a reflection on collapse, aftermath, and transformation. Featuring sculpture, installation, photography, and participatory art, the exhibition explores the material and psychological residues of a world in crisis, imagining what might emerge in the wake of ruin.

Proof of Life is a co-production of the Art Museum and the Jackman Humanities Institute. We are grateful for the contributions of the Art Museum, both financial and in-kind, through the contribution of expertise, planning and implementation.

For more information about the exhibition, visit our Art at the JHI web page.
