What would it mean if you could give your writing project your full attention with substantial, uninterrupted time? Find out at the JHI’s annual Writing Retreat.
Each May, we bookmark two weeks for faculty members in the humanities and qualitative social sciences across the tri-campus to come together and write, in the company of colleagues who are doing the same.
The sessions are loosely structured, with curated daily writing prompts to get you thinking about your work in new ways. Whether you’re drafting a book proposal, in the middle of a journal article, working to get those final edits completed, or starting something completely new, we are excited to provide this time and space for you.
We meet in-person at the JHI: 170 St. George Street, 10th Floor, from 9:30am to 3pm.
- Week One: May 19-22, 2026
- Week Two: May 25-28, 2026
Please register for one week only.
