Description

Description: Elly Gotz is a retired engineer, survivor of the Holocaust, and author of the memoir Flights of Spirit, published in partnership with the Azrieli Foundation Holocaust Survivor Memoir Program. He speaks to thousands of students each year about his experiences as a boy in the Kovno ghetto and in Kaufering, a subcamp of Dachau, and after the war, as he rebuilt his life in Germany, Norway, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and eventually Canada. Hope, tolerance, resilience, and humour are recurring themes in his presentations, and he enthusiastically welcomes questions. This talk is part of Doris Bergen's class on the Holocaust, and you are cordially invited to join the 50 students as we learn from Elly Gotz.

Please register by *Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022.*
