JHI Alumni Spotlight—Brigidda Bell

August 01, 2023

Brigidda Bell holds a PhD in Religion from the University of Toronto. She's currently Assistant Professor of New Testament at the Moravian Theological Seminary of Moravian University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Brigidda was a Graduate Fellow during 2018-19's theme Reading Faces, Reading Minds.

David Rokeby (Director, BMO Lab and Assistant Professor, Centre for Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies) is an internationally renowned new media, electronic, video and installation artist who has been exploring human relationships with digital machines for over 40 years.

Joe Cadagin holds a PhD in Musicology from Stanford University, and has been a long-time journalist in the world of opera. He is a regular features writer and recording critic for Opera News, and a former contributor to San Francisco Classical Voice and Fanfare.

Mark Cheetham was a JHI Faculty Research Fellow from 2019 to 2020 during the theme year Strange Weather. Mark is a Professor in the Department of Art History at the U of T and focuses on art, art theory, and visual culture from the mid 18th century to the present in Europe, the USA, and Canada.

JHI Alumni Spotlight—Bradley Rogers

November 24, 2021

Bradley Rogers was an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the JHI from 2010 to 2012, during the themes of Image and Spectacle, and Location/Dislocation. He is a faculty member in the musical theatre program at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he teaches and develops new works of musical theatre.

Michael Nicholson—now Assistant Professor in the Department of English at McGill University—joined us as an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Humanities during the 2016-2017 year on Time, Rhythm, and Pace. His project was titled After Time: Romanticism and Anachronism.
